Trucking company J. Grady Randolph Inc. plans to bring 100 jobs to Greer in July. The company has outgrown its facility in Greenville and is currently constructing a 12,000-square-foot building at 3085 Highway 101 near Sharon Church Road. Grady Randolph CEO Mark Randolph said the new building will feature 6,000 square feet of office space and a four-door bay garage for trucks.
Randolph said the company also has office locations in Richmond, Va., and Hiram, Ga. The site in Greer will give the company the ability to expand in the future, he said.
"We are very happy with the new location," Randolph said. "The Highway 101 location allows us to provide better service to our customers."
Spartanburg County Councilman David Britt said he anticipates additional economic development to occur along the Highway 101 corridor. He said the county continues to work toward expanding sewer service in that area to accommodate new growth.
"We are working with companies on several opportunities in the Highway 101 area," Britt said.
