Mission
Statement
The Risk Management department is a function of the Office of Budget Management and is responsible for promoting an organizational culture of safety. The goal of Risk Management is to reduce workers compensation through a reduction in workers compensation claims and the severity of the claim injury. Claims can be reduced through safety training, safety audits, and reinforcement of the priority of safety. In addition to safety the Risk Management department administers the County building and vehicle insurance. It reviews the effectiveness of existing policies and procedures in an effort to reduce loss.
The Risk Management budget is included in the Office of Budget Management budget.
