Deputy Solicitor Derrick Bulsa is one of the most experienced prosecutors in Spartanburg and Cherokee counties. Bulsa helps Solicitor Barnette manage the staff of assistant solicitors and he maintains a violent crime caseload of his own. The veteran prosecutor is responsible for numerous trial wins and guilty pleas over the past 20 years. Bulsa served as Spartanburg County Drug Court’s first prosecutor. He has also been recognized by the Spartanburg Breakfast Optimist Club for his commitment to his profession. The Spartanburg County native is a graduate of Wofford College and the University of South Carolina Law School.
