LYMAN MAN RECEIVES 17-YEAR PRISON SENTENCE FOR SEX CONVICTION

A Lyman man received a 17-year prison sentence today after he admitted to having sex with an underage girl.

Randolph Dogan, 51, pleaded guilty to criminal sexual conduct with a minor. The victim told sheriff’s deputies the crime occurred while she was a guest in Dogan’s Lyman-area home. The victim described how Dogan forced himself on her in a detailed hand-written statement for deputies. The victim was sleeping on a couch when the attack started.

Dogan will serve 85 percent of the prison sentence before he is eligible for release. He will also have to register as a sex offender. Dogan’s prior criminal record includes convictions for armed robbery and distribution of cocaine.
